Answer: In order to print you own checks, you will require a monochrome laser printer, a MICR toner cartridge from a qualified vendor and accounting software with the E13-B font. Why do I need a MICR cartridge? Answer: MICR toner cartridges contain magnetic iron oxide particles that enable character recognition of each E-13B character. Regular toner cartridges do not contain the magnetic iron oxide particles used to enable E13-B character recognition of each character and symbol. Why do I need to purchase MICR toner from a qualified vendor and not my regular toner cartridge supplier?
