Why should I buy a MICR toner cartridge?




What do I need to print my own checks with a laser printer?

Answer: In order to print you own checks, you will require a monochrome laser printer, a MICR toner cartridge from a qualified vendor and accounting software with the E13-B font.


Why do I need a MICR cartridge?

Answer: MICR toner cartridges contain magnetic iron oxide particles that enable character recognition of each E-13B character. Regular toner cartridges do not contain the magnetic iron oxide particles used to enable E13-B character recognition of each character and symbol.


Why do I need to purchase MICR toner from a qualified vendor and not my regular toner cartridge supplier?

Answer: A qualified vendor of MICR toner cartridges and check stock ensures all products supplied comply and adhere to specifications that all Banks follow in order to process MICR encoded checks successfully without rejection.
